אל תשכחו לערוך עירוב תבשילין ביום חמישי. הרב קנאי כתב דף הנחיות לשביעי של פסח ביום שישי.
Do not forget to do an eiruv tavshilin on Thursday. Rav Kannai has written guidelines for Shvi’i shel Pesach falling on a Friday.
אנא שימו לב שסוף זמן קריאת שמע הינו 9:15 בשביעי של פסח ו9:16 השבת. מתפללי המניינים ב-9:00 ו-9:15 מוזכרים לקרוא שמע לפני הגעתכם לתפילה.
Please note that the latest time for Kriyat Shema is 9:15 on Shvi’i shel Pesach, and 9:16 on Shabbat morning. Those davening in the 9:00 minyan and the 9:15 minyan should be advised to recite shema before coming to shul.
השיעור בשבת יתקיים בשעה 17:45 בנושא: דילמות הלכתיות ומוסריות בתקופת השואה.
Rav Kannai will deliver his Shabbat afternoon shiur on the topic “Halachic Dilemmas and Traditions During the Holocaust.”
The shiur will take place before mincha, at 5:40pm.
ביום שלישי, אור לכ”ו ניסן, 30/4, תתקיים אי”ה תוכנית מיוחדת לכבוד יום השואה. בערב זה נפגש עם מר יעקב וכסלר – יהודי שגדל כנוצרי בפולין ובגיל 35 בשעה שהוא מכהן ככומר קתולי גילה את יהדותו. דרך סיפורו נתוודה לפן הפחות מדובר של אימת השואה והשלכותיה. האירוע יתקיים בשעה 20:00 . אנו מעדיפים לקיים את האירוע בסלון ולא בבית כנסת. נשמח למתנדבים לאירוח נא לאשר השתתפות עד יום ראשון 28/4.
On Tuesday, 30th April, a special program will be held to commemorate Yom HaShoah. We will meet Mr. Yaakov Wachsler – a Jew who was raised as a Christian in Poland, and at age 35, while serving as a Catholic priest, discovered that he was Jewish. Through his story, we will get to know the lesser talked about aspect of the holocaust and its ramifications. The event will take place at 8pm. We would prefer to hold the event in a private living room than the Beit Knesset, and are looking for someone willing to volunteer their home for the event.
