בעקבות זאת לא תתקיים דרשת הרב במנין השני. הציבור מוזמן!
We are pleased to announce that this Shabbat, following the second minyan (around 10:30-10:40), we will be honored by Rabbi Aryeh Katzin, who will speak to us in English for about a quarter of an hour, relating inspiring anecdotes about kiruv and teshuva. Rabbi Katzin is a man of many talents, he’s CEO of RAJE, the founder and principal of Sinai Academy in New York, for youth who immigrated from the FSU, a pulpit rabbi, and active in the communications industry. He is Avrumi Katzin’s father.
That being the case, Rav Kannai has decided not to speak before Mussaf at the second minyan.

Please take note that on Motzaei Shabbat November 18th we will be holding the Annual General Meeting of the membership. If you desire to be a candidate for the new vaad, you must notify a member of the present vaad by email forthwith. Proposals for resolutions must be submitted in writing to a vaad member by November 4th. As you are aware, one must either pay full membership dues for the current year or come to an alternative payment arrangement with a member of the vaad in order to vote or be elected.

Also on Motzaei Shabbat the 18th of November, following the AGM, Rabbi Ian Pear, Rav of Kehillat Shir Chadash, Baka, will give a shiur in honor of the yahrtzeits of Rafi Barnett’s brother and Dina Barnett’s father on: The power of beginnings – how to get (re)started when life slows you down. As of now, no responses have been received from members interested in collaborating on any ‘sistering’ program, as set forth in previous Shabbat announcements. That being the case, the idea has been abandoned.
