Rav Kannai is not in the neighbourhood this Shabbat. Friday night’s Dvar Torah will be given by Rav Avichayil, and Rafi Barnett will give the Dvar Torah on Shabbat morning.

Yizkereim. On Tisha b’Av at 5:45pm, the shul will host a film, “Monsieur” showcasing the dramatic and inspirational story of Rav Yonah Teifenbrunner z”l and the orphanage he established in Belgium during the holocaust.

לפי מעמר בעיתון “קול העיר,” “תוכנית להקמת שכונה חדשה סמוך לשכונת רמות בצפון העיר מקודמת בעיריית ירושלים. מדובר בבנייה של כ-2,000 דירות בשטח הממוקם צפון-מזרח לרמות. ל”כל העיר” נודע כי ככל הנראה הדירות יהיו מיועדות לציבור החרדי.” השכונה החדשה תהיה ליד רמות ד’.
אלה חדשות טובות כי זה מקטין את הסיכוי שירצו לבנות שכונה נוספת ביער רמות, במצפה נפתוח, ליד רמות ב’.
According to an article in Kol Hair, “a plan to build a new neighbourhood next to Ramot in north Jerusalem is being advanced in the Jerusalem municipality. The plan involves building about 2000 flats in the area adjacent to north-east Ramot. “Kol Hair” has been informed that apparently the flats are intended for charedim.” The new neighbourhood will be near Ramot Dalet.
This is good news because it decreases the chance that they will want to build an additional neighbourhood in the Ramot forest, on Mitzpeh Neftoach, next to Ramot
