שחרית ביום העצמאות ב-6:05, 7:00 ו-8:00 ולא כמופיע במגנט. נחגוג את יום העצמאות בהלל מוזיקלי עם הרב נועם במניין בשעה 8:00, ואחר כך יהיה ארוחת בייגל בבוקר לנרשמים מראש בלבד (הרשמה סגורה).
ב-10:30 יהיה טורניר שחמט. מי יהיה מלך המצפה?

Yom Haatzmaut festive davening will take place in the shul on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm.
Shacharit on Yom Haatzmaut will be at 6:05, 7:00 and 8:00, and not as noted on the magnet. We will be celebrating with musical Hallel with Rav Noam at the 8:00am minyan, to be followed by our traditional bagel breakfast (preregistration only. Registration is closed).
At 10:30, there will be a chess tournament. Who will be crowned King of the Castle?

הצטרפו אלינו לסיור אחרי יום העצמאות בתל שמש: אתר ארכיאולוגי שהתעלמו ממנו במידה רבה עד החפירה הנוכחית (30 מיליון שקל) שהתקיימה בגלל הרחבת כביש 38. חפירה חדשה זו חשפה את עברה המרתק והבלתי ידוע של בית שמש מימי חזקיהו ובנו מנשה לפני 2700 שנים.
אתר זה עדיין אינו פתוח לציבור, והרשויות לא החליטו אם הוא יישמר או ייסלל, כך שכדאי לראות אותו בזמן שאפשר. המדריך, חיים פרידמן, יראה לנו מתצפית על התל הישן וגם מקצה האתר החדש.
נפגשים בשעה 9:30 בבוקר יום שישי, 10 במאי, בצומת ישי עם כביש 38. מכביש 38 פונים מערבה לכיוון מושב ישי ופונים בצד ימין של הכביש. שימוש ב- Waze – הזן “Yishi” באנגלית או בעברית “צומת ישעי”. הסיור ימשך כ -90 דקות ויהיה באנגלית או בעברית, בהתאם להרכב הקבוצה. (אין שירותים באתר, ניתן להשתמש בשירותים הציבוריים בקניון (או תחנת דלק) בכניסה לבית שמש).
עלות הטיול היא 20 ש”ח למבוגר, 10 לילדים מתחת לגיל 12.

סיור תל בית שמש
Join us for a post-Yom Haatzmaut tour of Tel Beit Shemesh: an archeological site which has been largely ignored until the current (30 million shekel) salvage dig preparing for the widening of Route 38. This new dig revealed the fascinating and unknown past of Beit Shemesh from the days of Chizkiyahu and his son Menashe 2700 years ago.
This site is not yet open to the public, and authorities have not decided whether it will be preserved or paved over, so see it while you can. Tour guide Chaim Friedman will show it to us from an overlook on the old tel as well as from the edge of the new site.
Meet at 9:30 AM Friday May 10th, at the Yishi intersection with Route 38. From Route 38 turn west towards Moshav Yishi and park on the right side of the road. Using Waze – enter “Yishi” in English, or in Hebrew “ צומת ישעי ”. Tour will take about 90 minutes and will be in English or Hebrew, depending on composition of the group. (There are no restrooms on site. You may use the public restrooms at the mall (or gas station) at the entrance of Beit Shemesh).
The cost of the tiyul is 20 NIS for adults, 10 for children under 12.

יש לנו בוקר פעילות מלא לילדי הקהילה בשבת מהשעה 8:00, כולל לימוד תורה עם שוקו, תפילה בבית הכנסת, זמן חופשי עם בייביסיטר בגן המשחקים, וקבוצות ילדים.
We have a full Shabbat morning kids program, from 8am, with cocoa club learning, Tefilla in shul, park time with babysitters, and groups.
