Mashiv haruach umorid Hageshem! Winter has already met our davening and our weather, and will be coming to our clocks this weekend too. This Motzei Shabbat at 2am, summer clock finishes and we “fall back” to 1am. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep!

The sheds in which the shul stores many items are coming to the end of their useful life. We have a sponsor who has generously pledged more than half the expense to replace the sheds, but we are looking for more cosponsors to help defray the costs to the shul. In memory of Kristallnacht that took place overnight between 9-10 November in 1938, Yad vaShem has a special event for communities, including a tour, learning, and a performance by the singer Nitzan Chen Razel.

החל משבת זו, יש לנו מספר תוספות מרגשות לתוכניות השבת לנוער:
30 דקות לפני מנחה בערב שבת: תהלים לבנים כיתה ג’ ומעלה בהשבינו. למשתתפים יש לרכוש את הספר “תהלים – למען שמו באהבה”
מדריכי הנוער יהיו נוכחים בהשבינו בקבלת שבת. לילדים מומלץ לבוא ולהשתתף בתפילה, ולאחר מכן קבוצות מחוץ לבית הכנסת במהלך תפילת מעריב.

Starting from this Shabbat, we have several exciting additions to our Shabbat youth programming:
30 minutes before mincha on erev Shabbat: Tehillim for boys kita gimmel and above in Hashiveinu. Those planning to join should purchase the book “תהילים – למען שמו באהבה”
Our youth directors will be present at Hashiveinu for Kabbalat Shabbat. Children are encouraged to come and participate in this Tefilla, followed by programming outside the shul during Maariv.
We are very excited to introduce a Tefilla workshop for boys kita gimmel and above. 9:30-10:15 Shabbat morning in the Shulamit Beit Midrash. (This week It will take place 10:00-10:30)
Interested girls in kita gimmel and above are encouraged to join Leticia in the Hashiveinu ezrat nashim for the Musaf tefilla.
Shabbat afternoon Open Beit Midrash ends this week, so please join us as we end the season with powerful kol Torah, and stay tuned to hear details about our winter Kol Hanearim program.

Rav Kannai will give his Shabbat afternoon shiur after mincha ktana on the topic, “The Prayer for Rain”

There will be open Beit midrash learning this Shabbat afternoon at 4:25, followed by mincha in the main shul at 5:10.
