Mazal tov to Ephraim Corman on his bar mitzva this Shabbat. Mazal tov to Ephraim’s parents, Dassie and David Corman and the whole family. The bar mitzva will take place in the main shul building, with a joint Hashivenu-Main Minyan davening. Shul will start at 8:45 on Shabbat morning. The Cormans invite you to a kiddusha rabba after the 8:45 minyan.

While many people look forward to the chagim, there are those among us for whom it can be a lonely time. It is a time of year to spend with family and loved ones, but in a community with many olim, not everyone has family close by with whom to spend this time.
