An EGM on the topic of: the Minyanim of the Shul, and specifically the location of the Hashiveinu Minyan during the year will be held in two weeks, Tuesday, August 24 at 21:30 in the Shul – all participants must wear masks.

There will be a memorial service and tombstone consecration to mark the shloshim of our dear friend Chana Lerba. There will be a siyum mishnayot on Tuesday, 17 August at 8pm at Mitzpe Ramot, and unveiing of the gravestone on Wed, 18 August at 11am at Har Menuchot, Givat Shaul. (Immediately after the first booth, turn left to the paved path marked “Sha’ar Yosef.” Follow the path down the hill to Gush 34, Row 14.)

Keren Chesed Update
Since last Rosh Hashana, with your help, the shul’s Keren Chesed has distributed close to a quarter of a million shekels worth of food vouchers to needy families in Ramot Bet, including to members of our shul. A further 80,000 shekels helped the families pay for medicines, rent, utilities, hachnasat kallah and so on.

על פי ההנחיות החדשות של משרד הבריאות, התו הירוק חוזר. לכן, רק מחוסנים ומחלימים מקורונה , או אנשים עם בדיקת PCR שלילית לאחרונה יכולים להיות בתוך בית הכנסת. נעשה מאמץ לנהל חלק מהתפילות בפרגולבודה עבור בטיחות הקהילה.
Reminder that there is once again a need to wear masks covering your nose and mouth when inside shul. Please adhere to the rules and wear your mask properly.
According to the new instructions from the health ministry, the “tav yarok” green mark is back. Thus, only vaccinated or recovered individuals, or those with a recent negative PCR test can be indoors. Efforts will be made to hold more services out of doors for the safety of the kehilla.

Rav Kannai will be teaching a short course in English on the topic of Hilchot Shmitta – the garden and the kitchen – in the first 2 weeks of Ellul.
He will be talking about the garden this Wednesday 3 Elul/11 August at 8pm, and the kitchen on 11 Elul/19 August.
