זו תקופה חסרת תקדים. עלו חששות לגבי ההיערכות הביטחונית של בית הכנסת. ועד בי”כ מצפה רמות ערך חקירה עם חברת אבטחה ותיקה לקביעת צורכי בית הכנסת וכיצד לחזק את האבטחה למען בטיחות כל חברינו ואורחינו. חלק מהתכנית המוקדמת יהיה תכנון נהלים ופרוטוקולים, הדרכה, ורכישת חומרים ליישום התוכנית. לפי הערכה מוקדמת ההוצאות יהיו מעבר לתקציב השנתי שלנו. אנו פונים לחברי הקהילה ולחברינו שיעזרו לנו בדרישות הכספיות של תכנית האבטחה. אנא צרו קשר עם אלן שטיינפלד (alan.mitzpe.ramot@gmail.com) או מנחם שרטר (robert@sreter.com) כדי לדון כיצד תוכלו לעזור. הבה נמשיך להתפלל לשובם בשלום של כל החיילים ובני הערובה ולהחלמה מהירה ושלמה של כל הפצועים.
These are unprecedented times. Concerns have been raised about the security preparedness of the Shul. The Va’ad of Mitzpe Ramot has undertaken a study with an established security company to determine the needs of the Shul and how to tighten up our security for the safety of all of our members and guests. Some initial information will be procedures and protocols planning, training, and purchase of hardware to implement the plan. Early estimates are beyond the scope of our annual budget. We are turning to our members and friends to help us with the financial requirements of the security planning. Let us continue to pray for the safe return of all soldiers and hostages and the speedy and complete recovery of all injured.

בזמן שהחיילים שלנו נמצאים בקרב בעזה, הקהילה (גברים ונשים) מוזמנת להתכנס מדי ערב בשעה 20:15 בבית הכנסת כדי לקרוא מספר פרקי תהילים ברוב עם. (עד כה, היה גם מניין למעריב לאחר מכן.)
While our soldiers are in battle in Gaza, the community (men and women) is invited to come together every evening at 8:15 at the shul to say a small number of Tehillim b’rov am. (So far, there has also been a minyan for maariv afterward.)
